A message for the Attleboro Community Academy 2019 Graduates

I am happy to celebrate the achievements of the Attleboro Community Academy 2019 graduates.

Let’s take a moment to bask in the glory of your accomplishments. Congratulate your fellow classmates that traveled this journey with you. Embrace the pride of your families that have supported you and your educational goals. Feel the energy, excitement and pride they have for each of you. It electrifies a room, and powers a community. Look to the teachers and administrators who have been with you every step of the way. While we celebrate the realization of your goal to receive your diploma. These teachers are realizing their goal of investing in you.

Jesse Jackson said “If my mind can conceive it, and my heart can believe it, I know I can achieve it,”

Your great achievement has required discipline, commitment, and courage.

The discipline: To go to class after working all day or caring for your family.

The commitment: To completing the required work even when it seemed impossible to get it all done.

The courage: To take the very first step, and every step after that to gain the necessary education that will ensure you will achieve your personal and professional goals.

These characteristics have empowered each and everyone of you to succeed.  Your community not only celebrates you, but we celebrate and support  your classmates who continue to endure until their desired outcome is achieved. All of you have set the example.

I wish you much success in your future endeavors, and I know you all have the grit and stamina to handle whatever else life throws your way!
